The PA is off to a running start and excited about this upcoming 2010-2011 School Year.
We started with our first Movie on the Quad on Sept 2nd for the cadets attending LDS. The cadets brought out their blankets to watch a scary movie on the PA big screen while enjoying Rita's Italian Ice, popcorn, candies, soda and iced tea.
The remaining officers, committee chairs and potential officers met prior to LDS graduation on Sept 3rd to discuss upcoming events and plans for the school year. We have activities planned, scheduled and posted through the end of October. As always we are looking for parent involvement in implementing and sponsoring activities. The idea of sponsoring activities is new for us. Having events sponsored allows us to hold/sponsor more activities and outings at no charge to the cadets.
Upcoming events: Movie on the Quad on Sept 11. (Volunteers have been secured - thank you!)
Next PA Meeting: Sat Sept 11. All parents of current NYMA cadets are invited and encouraged to attend.
